Mary Johnson was the mother of Lida Isabel Johson Newman. We know that she came from a close family. Two of her brothers were Henry Johnson, Lemuel Johnson and her sister was Eliza Johnson Ross. She may have had more siblings.
Lemuel Johsom married Ora (lmaiden name unknown), they had a son named John L. Johnson and a daughter Doris Johnson. Eliza married Clifton Ross. On February 20, 1904 their daughter Mae Helen was born. As an adult, Helen married William Henry Sugland on December 27, 1930.
When Lida Isabel Johnson was about 12 or 13 her mother died. Eliza raised Lida with Helen.
